RingCentral
conversation intelligence.

Overtone connects to RingCentral MVP and RingCX, retrieves call recordings as they complete, and turns them into scored, searchable, coachable conversations.

How the connector works

Read RingCentral, score it,
send the results back.

No agent desktop install, no network appliance, and no change to how RingCentral routes or records calls.

01

Authenticate

A JWT-based OAuth grant for a dedicated service app with read access to call log and recordings.

02

Subscribe to call events

Webhook subscriptions notify Overtone the moment a recorded call ends, so scoring starts within seconds rather than on a nightly batch.

03

Retrieve audio

Recordings are downloaded through the Call Recording API using the recording ID from the call log.

04

Return results

Scores flow to your dashboards, CRM and BI stack; at-risk calls trigger alerts immediately.

What Overtone reads

Least-privilege, read-only.

Overtone asks for the minimum needed to attribute and score a conversation. Nothing else is requested, and access is revocable at any time.

Managed SaaS or your own private cloud tenant, with US or EU region election.

Read the security architecture
Alongside what you have

It does not replace RingCentral.

RingCentral's own analytics cover volume, availability and call disposition. Overtone adds what was actually said: sentiment, your quality dimensions, coaching, and conversion impact.

  • Scores 100% of conversations, not a 2% sample
  • Your own weighted rubric, versioned and auditable
  • Coaching plans with timestamped evidence
  • Conversion and retention attribution
Questions

RingCentral specifics.

Does this work with RingCentral MVP as well as RingCX?

Yes. Both are supported. MVP is read through the Call Log and Call Recording APIs; RingCX adds queue, disposition and agent-state metadata for richer scoping.

How quickly are calls scored after they end?

Webhook subscriptions mean processing starts within seconds of the recording being available, and scoring completes in under four minutes at p95.

Next step

Run it on your
RingCentral calls.

Send us a week of audio and the scorecard you already use. We will score every call and show you what your current sample never surfaced.
